Spiritual Direction Supervision is a ministry offered by The Santa Cruz Fellowship

Supervision in Spiritual Direction is a process, which can help you as a Director grow in the key areas of self-awareness and interior freedom.  The focus is on what happened in you, as a Director, during a direction session as you listened and paid attention to your directee.  Supervision enables the Director to take a contemplative stance toward their work of spiritual direction enabling you to “take a long loving look at the particular spiritual direction session, focusing on his/her inner movements and the action of God in the supportive presence of an experienced spiritual director.”  Tish Bulkey

As Mary Rose Bumpus points out in her book, Supervision of Spiritual Directors, “Supervision is a conversation between peers that ultimately fosters the well-being of the absent other.”

Jayne trained in a 2 year program with the ministry of Sustainable Faith, completing her supervision hours and course work in July 2020.

The Cost

There is no charge for Spiritual Direction Supervision, it is part of the ministry of Spiritual Friendship within the Santa Cruz Fellowship.  If you feel led to become a part of our giving community, there is information about how to donate under the SUPPORT tab of this website.  We have chosen to keep our donors and their donations blind to us.  A local CPA firm accepts and processes all the donations so we don’t know who gives or how much is given.  This is entirely between you and the Lord.
